So July 1st is a special day in hockey, all the players who contracts expire are able to sign with whichever team they desire.
This has never been a huge deal even though it is important. Now with the media's power to obtain information as soon as the want they can update all their viewers at a moments notice.
TSN is one of the key players in this game as they have shows dedicated to this and even have one of their analysts on Twitter.
