Marvel Universe Whats Next?

Note before reading this if you haven't read the last few months of Marvel Comics and want to read it yourself do not read on (spoilers).

Now that the effects of the Marvel Civil War, the Secret Invasion of the Skrulls, and the Dark Reign of Norman Osborn are over (Siege of Asgard), the only question to ask is how long will the Heroic Age operate without conflict and what will that conflict be?

The current situation of the marvel universe has Steve Rogers (not as Captain America) as the new director of S.H.I.E.L.D., who replaces Norman Osborn and H.A.M.M.E.R. We also see the return of Nick Fury after being in hiding since the aftermath of the Civil War with is new group of heroes, the Secret Warriors. James "Bucky" Barnes former sidekick of Captain America is now wielding the shield as the New Captain America. Also all of your favourite marvel heroes are now out of hiding since they are not being targeted as potential threats by the government.

The only direction we know that the Heroic Age is headed in is that "We're trying to get a little bit more into the families of publishing, not as line-wide, to provide people with very digestible beginning, middle, and end content with top characters and top creators in conjunction with the Marvel Universe." - Dan Buckley (Marvel Publisher)
